This year, the Gong Cha Global Team launched a program called “GREAT Values Day” and invited all Master Franchise countries to participate. GREAT Values Day took place on September 10th, with various activities tailored to each country. Before sharing more about GREAT Values Day, we would first like to explain the meaning of ‘GREAT’ to our colleagues.
GREAT stands for these 5 key values; G (Genuine),
R (Respect), E (Empathy), A (Adventurous) and T (Teamwork). Therefore, the GREAT Values is not only just reflecting on the areas; customer service, product knowledge and sales enhancement, this also emphasize nurturing creativity, teamwork, and mutual understanding among team members. The program helps foster these values through practical activities. Myanmar Gong Cha Team also participated in the GREAT Values Day from diverse perspectives and successfully celebrated it in a unique way.
Myanmar Gong Cha celebrated GREAT Values Day at each store on September 10th. On this special day, CEO Mr. Rayson and respective HODs visited different outlets to meet with employees, perform tea demonstration shows for customers, and engage in fun activities. The event also included sharing the Gong Cha dance challenge on TikTok, delivering gift coupons and sharing memorable moments on social media. It was a day filled with excitement and connection between our store crews and customers.
As part of the GREAT Values Campaign, Myanmar Gong Cha also launched “The GREAT Helping Hands” campaign. This campaign was a CSR donation project aimed at supporting a charity school. With the generous contributions from customers and CFC employees, the campaign raised over (1.9 million) MMK, together with the donations of school supplies, toys, and other essentials for children. On the campaign day, respective HODs and responsible persons visited Mhann Kinn (2) Charity School, engaging with the children through games, conducting tea demonstration sessions, and explaining about the objective of GREAT Values. This event was a joyful and meaningful event, sharing a spirit of kindness to our community.
When we talk about GREAT Values, we cannot overlook the continuous efforts of our dedicated employees who consistently deliver full-time service at Gong Cha. As part of the GREAT Values initiative, one essential part is GREAT Communication. In preparation for this, HR organized weekly visits to employees for GREAT conversation with fun activities. GREAT Communication is beyond just delivering customer service, it also drives the soft-skills aimed to increase the individual enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity in the workplace. This initiative was successfully conducted with all employees from Gong Cha’s Yangon and Mandalay branches, fostering a productive and engaging environment.
With regard to the GREAT Values Day, I would like to extend special thanks to the Marketing Department and Gong Cha Operation Team, also cross-functional teams, and all the CFC employees who contributed to the success of the program. We are also delighted and grateful to have had the opportunity to participate in such a meaningful event.
